SETTLING FOR LESS.

Settling for less...

SETTLING FOR LESS…

There’s so much to be said about settling for less than we know we deserve, less than we are capable of or less than we secretly dream of. Regardless of everything else, settling stems from fear. Fear of failure, fear of not being good enough, not being worthy, fear of risking it all for something better. Do yourself a favour and don’t settle. It only leads to regrets, what ifs and bitterness. Here are a few of my favourites of this subject

“The greatest temptation you will ever have in your life is to give up on what you truly want because it seemed to difficult to have. If you put your loyalty into anything, put it into believing in yourself.”

“If you don’t know what you want, you’ll never find it.
If you don’t know what you deserve, you’ll always settle for less.
You will wander aimlessly, uncomfortably numb in your comfort zone, wondering how life has ended up here.
Life starts now, live, love, laugh and let your light shine!”

“We know enough to know that all of this is not quite right. And we know enough to know that settling for what’s not quite right is quite wrong.”

“The biggest human temptation is to settle for too little.”

“Is it something that I want or something that I’m settling for instead. The space for what you want is already filled with what you settled for instead.”

“You need to wake up and realize that you deserve more, and there is more waiting for you out there. Stop settling; it only tarnishes and corrodes your soul.”

“When we have waited a long time for what we really want, we become temped to fill the emptiness with unworthy substiutes. Don’t.”

“Anyone can fail at something they really don’t want. What really takes courage is going after something you want and then failing. There is more fulfillment in life knowing that you tried, rather than settled without a fight.”

“Too many people spend their life in fear of making a mistake. However, here is the truth: Fear is the mistake. If you block out all the doubts and listen only to what you feel in your heart, then follow that course, you waste less time in indecision and spend more time being authentic. Life is too short to settle for part time happiness.”

“Settling for someone average, I want someone who makes me a better person and who makes me do the unthinkable, someone who I am painfully in love with to the point that there could never be anyone else.”

“Don’t be so caught up in the noble cause of responsibility that you lose your passion for who you are living for.”

“Once you start settling, and letting others control your life, it can quickly become a habit, so it’s best to avoid such things altogether.”
